A restore point records what your site serves when it’s right: titles, canonicals, robots, schema, sitemaps and redirects, per template. Create one now so you have something to compare against after the next update.
- Go to IndexPlane → Restore points.
- Click Create restore point.
- Enter a Label, for example “Before theme update”.
- Click Create. The restore point appears on the Console’s Restore point card.
wp indexplane restore-point create --label="Before theme update"
The command prints the restore point ID and checksum.
Ask your assistant:
“Create an IndexPlane restore point called ‘Before theme update’.”
Creating a restore point is a write, so the Prepare level must be on (Pro).
Name restore points after the change you’re about to make. You’ll thank yourself when comparing.
Pro keeps unlimited restore points and creates one automatically before every change and update.
